The article looks at development of research journals of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. It provides various indicators of VGTU journals: the number of publicised articles depending on a year, journal, fields of research and languages. It also analyses countries from which researchers decide to publish their articles in VGTU research journals. One of the more important aspects of journal publishing – references in databases – is also analysed; as many as eight VGTU journals are referenced in Thomson Reuters Web of Science and thirteen in Scopus and other international databases.
